  • Pirma pamoka (Lesson 1 - 2023 12 07)

    LABAS!

    During our first class, we tried to dive into the pronunciation of consonants. We also studied singular pronouns (aš, tu, jis, ji) and the verb to be (būti). We did some oral exercises with nationalities to present ourselves and the others.

    Homework:
    Please review the material from the first lesson and continue practicing the phrases we learned during the class.

  • Antra pamoka (Lesson 2 - 2023 12 12)

    During this lesson, we continued learning the pronouns and added the plural (mes - we, jūs - you, jie/jos - they).

    We have also learned how to ask where other people are from and answer the question. We have also studied the grammar associated with it (the form of the noun). Example: Iš kur tu esi? Aš esu iš Lietuvos. (Lietuva - iš Lietuvos).

    At the end of the lesson, we learned how to ask which languages people speak and answer the question. Example: Kokiomis kalbomis tu kalbi? Aš kalbu lietuviškai ir angliškai.

    HOMEWORK:
    Prepare a little presentation about yourself (greeting, your name, nationality, country you are from, languages you speak). 

  • Trečia pamoka (Lesson 3 - 2023 12 14)

    We started the lesson with homework and your presentations about yourselves.

    During the lesson, we covered 3 main topics:
    1) Learning the negative forms of the verbs:
    Aš esu - Aš nesu (I am - I am not)
    Tu esi - Tu nesi (You are - You are not)
    Jis yra - Jis nėra (He is - He isn't)
    etc.

    2) Learning the -a verbs and their conjugation:
    Aš kalbu, tu kalbi, jis/ji kalba
    Aš miegu, tu miegi, jis/ji miega

    etc.

    3) Learning how to ask questions with Ar...?:
    Ar tu esi iš Lietuvos? (Are you from Lithuania?)
    Taip, aš esu iš Lietuvos (Yes, I am from Lithuania)
    Ne, aš nesu iš Lietuvos (No, I am not from Lithuania)
    etc.

    HOMEWORK:
    Please translate the attached sentences from English to Lithuanian.
  • Ketvirta pamoka (Lesson 4 - 2023 12 19)

    During this lesson, we did a bit of repeating the material we had already learned - we read and made some dialogues. We started to learn the genitive case.

    Homework:
    Please do the exercise with the genitive case from the slides.

  • Penkta pamoka (Lesson 5 - 2023 12 21)

    During this lesson, we continued practicing the genitive case and also learned the vocative case.

    Homework:
    Please create 2 dialogues using everything we have learned (you have dialogues we read during the classes as examples).

  • Šešta pamoka (Lesson 6 - 2024 01 02)

    We continued to practice the genitive case during this lesson. We have also learned and practiced the phrases "I want" (Aš noriu...) and "I need" (Man reikia...). 

    Homework:
    Please answer the questions "Ko tau reikia iš parduotuvės?" using the quantities and products from the slides. Ex. Ko tau reikia iš parduotuvės? Man reikia kilogramo mėsos (at least 3-4 examples).

  • Septinta pamoka (Lesson 7 - 2024 01 04)

    During this lesson, started learning numbers and practiced questions such as "Koks tavo adresas?" and "Koks tavo telefono numeris?". We also learned the locative case.

    Homework:
    Please do exercises from the slides (kur tu gyveni? kur tu dirbi?).
    Please also do the translation of sentences if you have time.

  • Aštunta pamoka (Lesson 8 - 2024 01 09)

    We did some listening and oral exercises during the lesson to repeat the material.

    Homework:
    Please do 3 grammar exercises from the slides.

  • Devinta pamoka (Lesson 9 - 2024 01 11)

    During this lesson, we practiced how to ask and say the prices. We learned how to express what we like and don't like together with a vocabulary of activities.

    HOMEWORK
    Please create a dialogue of buying/selling using the example from the slides.

  • Dešimta pamoka (Lesson 10 - 2024 01 16)

    During this lesson, we learned the accusative case and practiced using it in different situations.

    HOMEWORK:
    Please prepare to tell about yourself using the material from the whole course (your name, nationality, where you come from, your address, your work, what you like/don't like, what you eat etc.)

    PLEASE NOTE THAT ON THURSDAY (01/18) AND TUESDAY (01/23) WE WON'T HAVE CLASSES. NEXT CLASS WILL BE ON THURSDAY (01/25). LATER THIS WEEK, I WILL ATTACH MORE GRAMMAR EXERCISES TO PRACTICE.

  • Vienuolikta pamoka (Lesson 11 - 2024 01 25)

    We learned to ask and say time in Lithuanian (using ordinal numbers). Additionally, we learned the difference between prepositions į and pas, and repeated question words

    HOMEWORK:
    1. Please do the exercise with question words from the slides.
    2. Please continue and write sentences "Aš važiuoju/einu į/pas ..." with feminine words from the slides. 
    3. Please answer the questions from the last slide. 

    P.S. I'm attaching some extra exercises if you want to do more. This is not mandatory homework, just for you to practice. 


  • Dvylikta pamoka (Lesson 12 - 2024 01 30)

    During this lesson, we have talked about nouns & numbers in the plural (nominative & accusative cases). We did a couple of repeating exercises also. 

    Homework:
    Please make exercises with the plural from the slides, they are marked as homework.

  • Trylikta pamoka (Lesson 13 - 2024 02 01)

    During this lesson, we repeated the difference between the genitive and the accusative cases. We also started to talk about our family and its members.

    Homework:
    1) Please prepare a little presentation of your family and its members (names, age, work, where they live, etc.);
    2) Please do the exercise from the slides with forms and possessive pronouns. 

  • Keturiolikta pamoka (Lesson 14 - 2024 02 06)

    During this lesson, we continued to practice plural forms of nouns. We also started to learn adjectives (singular/plural, feminine/masculine)

    HOMEWORK:
    Please finish the exercises we started to do with adjective plural forms. 
    You should also write 5 sentences describing someone or something with adjectives.

  • Penkiolikta pamoka (Lesson 15 - 2024 02 08)

    During the lesson, we talked and read a text about food and leisure activities, and started to learn the imperative tense of verbs. 

    Homework:
    Please do grammar exercises at the end of the slides.
    Please also see some new vocabulary and dialogues attached. Please check them out at home as they have a lot of different examples of imperative tense and other important phrases.

  • Šešiolikta pamoka (Lesson 16 - 2024 02 13)

    During this lesson, we discussed grammar exercises and the future tense of verbs.

    Homework:
    Please do grammar exercises from the slides and check out new words and dialogues that are uploaded under this lesson.

  • Septyniolikta pamoka (Lesson 17 - 2024 02 20)

    Please review the material from the slides. Please pay attention to the new grammar: the instrumental case (with the preposition su) and the past tense of verbs. Please also review different ways to say the time. If you have time, you can do all the exercises until Tuesday. 

    I have also prepared a document with the grammar summary of our A1.1 Lithuanian language course. At the end of the document, you will find a translation you must complete by Thursday (02/22). 

    Please also finish the exercises we didn't do during today's class.

  • Aštuoniolikta pamoka (Lesson 18 - 2024 02 22)

    We did repetition exercises before the test on Tuesday.

    You can do the "A1.1 Tarpinis testas" under the section "Lietuvių kalbos testai" before the actual test.
