  • Pirma pamoka (Lesson 1 - 2024 - 03 - 05)


    During our first class, we tried to dive into the pronunciation of vowels and consonants. We also studied singular pronouns (aš, tu, jis, ji) and the verb to be (būti). We did some oral exercises with nationalities to present ourselves and the others.

    Please review the material from the first lesson and continue practising the phrases we learned during the class.

  • Antra pamoka (Lesson 2 - 2024 03 07)

    We started the lesson by learning the greetings.
    During this lesson, we continued learning the pronouns and added the plural (mes - we, jūs - you, jie/jos - they) ad well as the verb to be forms for plural pronouns.

    We have also learned how to ask where other people are from and answer the question. We have also studied the grammar associated with it (the form of the noun). Example: Iš kur tu esi? Aš esu iš Lietuvos. (Lietuva - iš Lietuvos).

    At the end of the lesson, we learned how to ask which languages people speak and answer the question. Example: Kokiomis kalbomis tu kalbi? Aš kalbu lietuviškai ir angliškai.

    Prepare a little presentation about yourself (greeting, your name, nationality, country you are from, languages you speak).

  • Trečia pamoka (Lesson 3 - 2024 03 12)

    We started the lesson with homework and your presentations about yourselves.

    During the lesson, we covered 3 main topics:
    1) Learning the negative forms of the verbs:
    Aš esu - Aš nesu (I am - I am not)
    Tu esi - Tu nesi (You are - You are not)
    Jis yra - Jis nėra (He is - He isn't)

    2) Revising the -a verbs and their conjugation:
    Aš kalbu, tu kalbi, jis/ji kalba
    Aš miegu, tu miegi, jis/ji miega


    3) Learning how to ask questions with Ar...?:
    Ar tu esi iš Lietuvos? (Are you from Lithuania?)
    Taip, aš esu iš Lietuvos (Yes, I am from Lithuania)
    Ne, aš nesu iš Lietuvos (No, I am not from Lithuania)

    Revise the material from today's lesson
    Write down a short text presenting yourself with everything that you've learned so far.

  • Ketvirta pamoka (Lesson 4 - 2024 02 05)

    During this lesson, we revised all the material we had already learned - we did a lot of oral exercises, listening, and translation exercises.

    We also learned about usage of genitive case in constructions iš + country/city or constructions that answer the question whose?


    Please see the exercise attached below,  write down complete sentences from the prompts, pay attention to endings in making the genitive case!

  • Penkta pamoka (Lesson 5 - 2024 02 07)

    We dedicated this lesson to learning a vocative case when addressing someone, as well as revised the genitive case.

    a) Textbook p. 34, ex. 3, work with vocative case

    b) Textbook p. 40, ex. 14, write in the missing words in the dialogue

  • Šešta pamoka (Lesson 6 - 2014 02 14)

    We continued to practice the genitive case during this lesson. We have also learned and practiced the phrases "I want" (Aš noriu...) and "I need" (Man reikia...). 


    Please finish working with slide number 10 in the slides, making the phrases of packaging + product, using the genitive case

  • Septinta pamoka (Lesson 7 - 2024 02 19)

    During this lesson, we did some more practice with the genitive case. We also started learning numbers and practiced questions such as "Koks tavo adresas?" and "Koks tavo telefono numeris?"

    Repeat the numbers and prepare to tell about your address and phone number.

  • Aštunta pamoka (Lesson 8 - 2024 02 21)

    During the lesson, we repeated the numbers. We dedicated the rest of the lesson to learning the locative case (where?). We practiced by telling where we live and where we work. 

    Kur tu gyveni? Aš gyvenu Vilniuje, Kaune, Vytenio gatvėje, bute.
    Kur tu dirbi? Aš dirbu banke, pašte, mokykloje, universitete.

  • Devinta pamoka (Lesson 9 - 2024 02 26)

    We continued practicing the genetive and the locative cases during this lesson and did some listening exercises. We learned how to as for and tell the price and the verb construction 'would like'.
